Welcome to the Winter 2018 newsletter.
There is a peaceful humility about winter, as we consciously and unconsciously slow down and retreat in alignment with the rhythm of nature. In this 4th Depth season we are connected to the power that brings us in touch with our inner wisdom and our intuition and in this BE-ing, seeds are sown for the coming cycles of growth and abundance. In warm response, Jin Shin Jyutsu New Zealand is quietly regenerating and, through this quarterly newsletter, offers you many blessings of the season.
Congratulations! 5-Day Seminar with Petra Elmendorff
After many years enjoying classes in Auckland, new North Island organisers, Jeannette McCallum and Carlene Dillimore hosted Petra Elmendorff from Germany at Waihi Beach Academy, Coromandel… 2 hours drive from the city. The last time Petra was in New Zealand to present a 5-Day class was 2003 so it was marvellous to have her return to our shores again! Jeannette says “Students were enthralled with Petra’s teachings. She made Jin Shin Jyutsu come alive with her life stories and took my understanding of Jin Shin Jyutsu to a new level in the body readings. Petra taught us how to recognise disharmony in the body energy flows and how to effectively get it moving to harmonise the flow”. She continues… “It was lovely to see the change in stress levels from when people arrived to when they left; students enjoying each other’s company and getting to know each other too, over the six day event. One of the students, a chocolate maker from Martinborough, even brought lots of wonderful chocolate for us to sample”! It was wonderful that the NZ Office was able to provide bookstore items and process orders for this class. Congratulations to all involved!
New Zealand Office
The Jin Shin Jyutsu New Zealand Office opened in January 2018 as a hub for students and visitors to connect, gain resources, purchase bookstore items and as a point of contact for the wider JSJ community across the whole of Asia Pacific. The Trust, which evolved out of the JSJ NZ Association, is currently overseen by four Trustees; Jennifer Holmes (Chairperson), Lester Miller (Treasurer), Julie Wells (office manager, website, newsletter, social media) and Tony Wells (Charitable Services Advisory). For more information about the Trust and the NZ Office , please visit https://www.jsjnz.co.nz/faqs/ …. a dedicated page for Charitable Trust business and information is currently being developed.
